Karnak Temple
Karnak, or the Karnak Temple Complex, which is commonly known as the Karnak Temple, is a collection of temples, buildings, columns, open-air museum and the sacred lake. The expansion and construction processes continued from the Pharaonic era, specifically during the Middle Kingdom, until the Roman era in Luxor, Egypt, on the eastern bank. The temple was built for the divine trinity of Amun (Amun-Ra in modern times), his wife the goddess Mut, and their son the god Khonsu.
